Solid Drawing—The skill of conveying a 3D character or object in a 2D drawing. It emphasizes drawing what will appear solid, balanced and believable by demonstrating key elements of form, weight, proportion, structure, and depth. Solid Drawing is an important part of 2D Animation because it allows animators to create consistent and believable character animation from various angles and poses. It also enables artists to become aware of the use of objects and the human body in space in relation to light and movement.
